Dr. Vidya Anegundi, MD
Hello there! My name is Vidya and I am one of the pediatric doctors of Next Generation Pediatrics.
Although I grew up on the sun kissed shores of Oahu, Hawaii, I am not new to New England. After graduating from Mount Holyoke in Massachusetts, I moved to New Haven to complete my long standing interest in infectious disease (after four summers in a rabies lab at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta) and pursue a Master’s degree in Public Health from Yale University.
During this time, I was a visiting fellow in Kenya studying the effects of malaria on the newborn. While at Yale I also met my husband, Igor Latich. I spent the next four years studying medicine in the Windy City at Loyola, but moved back to Connecticut to join my husband who was completing his residency at Yale.
Like Erik, I graduated from Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford, CT. Given my past experiences, I have particular interests in breastfeeding and travel medicine.
I live in Greenwich with my husband, 4 kids, and way too many pets.Igor is on faculty at Yale University where he works as an interventional radiologist.
It is a rare privilege in the world of medicine to become a part of a practice where everybody knows your name — and the names of all of your household members, including the pets!
The most precious aspect of Next Generation Pediatrics is that we not only take care of your family, but we would like to think of ourselves as a part of your family, and we certainly see you as members of ours!
